What counts as a tract?
One description drafted, billed once at first draft. Re-drafts within 30 days are free; edits and exports are free forever.
Can I try it before committing?
Yes, without an account. Paste a legal description on the front page and TractEdge drafts it for real. Two free drafts. A plan is what downloads the shapefile.
Do I have to subscribe at all?
No. Draft a tract, and if you want the shapefile, buy that tract for $20. Re-exports and edits stay free in that browser's private session. A one-off purchase does not create a reusable login, so keep using the same browser. A plan halves that or better: $10 a tract on Solo, $5 on Shop, $2.50 on Firm. Around thirteen tracts a month, Solo has paid for itself.
What happens if I go over?
Extra tracts are $20 on Solo, $10 on Shop and $5 on Firm — twice the plan's per-tract rate. Drafting continues past the included amount; nothing stops working mid-month. If you're consistently over, the next tier up is cheaper.
Can I be invoiced, or pay annually?
Yes. Contact us if you need invoicing or annual billing.
What happens to my projects if I stop paying?
Your customer login remains available for your project history and billing state. Plan drafting and export access end with the paid term; you can ask us to delete your projects at any time.
