Terms of service

TractEdge drafts working geometry from written descriptions. You are responsible for reviewing the output and applying professional judgement.

What TractEdge is

TractEdge reads a written land description, resolves the survey it references against public reference geometry, computes a boundary from the calls, and exports it in a GIS format. It is a drafting aid for professionals.

TractEdge does not produce surveys. Its output is not a boundary survey, plat, title opinion, or legal determination of a boundary. Do not record the output, rely on it as a boundary determination, or present it as the work of a surveyor. Use a licensed professional land surveyor when a boundary matters legally.

The Texas RRC, Texas GLO, and BLM publish the reference geometry as digital interpretations. Those sources do not carry legal survey authority. TractEdge’s output inherits that limitation.

Your responsibility

• Check the output. Every draft shows its closure, its precision ratio, and which phrase of your document each value came from. Review that information before you act on the draft.
• You need the right to the documents you upload. Don’t send us material you aren’t permitted to share.
• Use it lawfully, and don’t attempt to disrupt the service or reach data that isn’t yours.

Your content

You keep ownership of the documents you send. You give us permission to process them as needed to provide the service and improve how the software reads documents like them. The privacy page, which forms part of these terms, explains retention, deletion, and how we handle your documents.

The geometry TractEdge drafts from your description, and the export bundles it produces, are yours to use however you like.

Availability during the beta

TractEdge is in beta. Features may change, and we do not provide an uptime commitment. Any additional service commitments must appear in a signed order form. The signed order form governs if it conflicts with this page.

Payment

We offer single-tract purchases and plans at the price displayed when you pay. A single-tract purchase is a one-time charge. You can export and re-export that tract without another payment from the private browser session that bought it. The purchase does not create a reusable login, so continue using that browser. A plan bills monthly in advance and includes the stated number of tracts. You may cancel at any time. Access continues through the end of the paid period, and we do not refund partial months.

A tract is counted once, when it is first drafted. Re-drafting the same tract within 30 days is free; after that a fresh draft counts again. Tracts beyond a plan’s included number bill at the overage rate published for that plan. Editing and exporting are never metered.

If we change published prices, the change applies to your next billing period and not retroactively. Where a plan has been agreed separately in writing, that agreement governs its price and term.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that a draft will be accurate, complete, or fit for a particular decision. Professional review is required before use.

To the maximum extent the law allows, TractEdge is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, arising from use of the service; and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Where the service is provided free of charge, that amount is zero. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud.

Ending it

You can stop using TractEdge whenever you like and ask us to delete everything. We may suspend an account for non-payment or for use that breaks these terms, and we’ll tell you why. If we discontinue the service you get 60 days’ notice and export access throughout.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and the courts of Texas have exclusive jurisdiction.
